David Tolson, CEO, CapitalValue; Managing Director, CapitalValue M&A

David Tolson is the founder and CEO of CapitalValue, and a Managing Director of CapitalValue M&A.  David has a long history of success with small businesses in Colorado and brings 13 years of experience in sales, operations, acquisitions, and value creation. Prior to founding CapitalValue, David worked in Colorado’s high-tech community as the lead Business Development officer for NeoCore, iWitness, and IQ3G, where he was primarily responsible for growth strategies and strategic planning. David also created the first successful strategic business unit in J.D. Edwards 22 year history by exceeding the business unit quota by 330%. David is a graduate of Colorado State University and earned an MBA (emphasis in finance) from the University of Colorado, where he was awarded the Beta Gamma Sigma designation for outstanding scholastic achievement. 

Mr. Tolson is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers, which is the leading valuation / appraisal organization for the appraisers of small and medium sized businesses in the United States.  He has been awarded the AIBA (Accredited by the Institute of Business Appraisers) designation.  The AIBA designation is awarded to those candidates who have successfully completed vigorous educational and testing requirements and are then certified by a highly critical peer review process.  Mr. Tolson is among 80 AIBA’s in the United States, and is among roughly 500 people who have received designations from the prestigious IBA.
